Jim’s teachings conflicted with Mrs. Fitzgerald by the fact that he thought that her teaching methods were not relevant and that a good curriculum is all the students needed. He thought from his experience dealing with teenagers, and the fact that he was ex-militant was all he needed, and Mrs. Fitzgerald’s methods would be of much use.

Question 5. What do we know about multicultural education and culturally responsive class room management from experts in the field that would help to guide the decisions that need to be made in this structure?

Multicultural education is a way of teaching that should involve all students from diverse cultures. Teachers should embrace methods that work best for all students. He should be made to apologize to Mrs. Fitzgerald for mutual respect formally.

Mrs. Fitzgerald should be taught to learn to accommodate new rules for the sake of the students.

Question 7. What goals should Jim and Mrs. Fitzgerald set for themselves and for the class?

Both Jim and Mrs. Fitzgerald should learn to respect each other’s opinions. They should work together to grow both their ideas to benefit the students.

Mrs. Fitzgerald should set proper ways of addressing a colleague instead of shouting at him in front of the students.

Mr. Jim should be given a second chance to prove himself as that job is his only means of survival.
