I was just in K-mart yesterday and I was searching for a toddler car seat for my 1 year old daughter. I became infatuated with this Minnie Mouse car seat, but when I brought it to the checkout counter, the clerk told me it was the display item and they do not sell display items. So as i went back to search for the car seat in a box, there weren’t any! The car seat was on display but none were available, not even stocked in the back. I think K-mart can function properly if they engage the JIT inventory system just as Wal-Mart! It will make it easier to stock an item every time and item is sold to keep up with the demand for that product.

I think that Wal-Malt should install mobile cameras on the aisles! The traditional security cameras have proven to be a failure, shop lifters hardly ever get caught these days, especially with the quality of the video on these “high cost” cameras! Wal-Mart should hire employees just for this monitoring system, they are to watch the cameras at all times and if they catch a shop lifter on the camera, immediate protocol should be implemented!
