- This is an individual project assignment.
- A description of the project assignment is attached – See Annex A & B (site layout plan).
- A total of 2 sessions have been allocated for this security project assignment. In the 1st session, students will be briefed on the project requirements. A 2nd session (Wednesday 10th Jun 20) is allocated to provide an opportunity for students to clarify any points they may have encountered while preparing for the project submission.
- A written report submission of a word limit of 2000 words is required. The submission date is 1st July 20.

- An International Bank is proposing to construct a new Priority Bank at Tengah. It is a single storey building consisting of Bank teller counters, Bank office and Bank Vault.
- The facility is surrounded by Office buildings, High Embankment Slope and Over Grown Vegetation & Open Field. The facility will operate from 0900-1500hrs and closed during Saturdays and Sundays. The facility is manned only during working hours.
- The layout for the building has been confirmed by client with the following physical measures and manpower deployment:
- Welded Mesh Perimeter Fence.
- One security guard during office hours.
- Students are required to design the External and Internal Intrusion Detection System (Ext & Int IDS) for this new facility.
- The Ext & Int IDS design should be based on the following threats identified:
- Internal Threats – Internal Theft, Arson, Vandalism, Sabotage, Theft of confidential information and Cyber.
- External Threats – Intrusion, Theft, Arson, Vandalism, Sabotage, Theft of confidential information and Cyber. Vehicle Ramming into Facility
- High Level Threat – Vehicle Bomb, Parcel/Letter Bomb.
- You are required to carry out a risk assessment based on the above mentioned threats and other threats which affects such facility.
