I found this article to be very informative, and I was introduced to a totally new concept. In addition, it explained different theories and its implications of an ecosystem, and it opened my eyes to a new approach to analyse if firms can be considered an ecosystem or not, based on the types of complementarities in production and consumption. Leker et al. (2018) also explains the concept of the ecosystem with similar ideology but uses a new approach to understand the effect of industry sections on the formation of business ecosystems from an industry-wideperspective using ARM (association rule mining) and DEMATEL (decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory) technique.

The research is fine but it is weakened by description. Answers to questions could have been better structured, more focussed and written in first person.
